When her employer, New York Life, committed to matching charitable contributions by employees, she elevated her support by making monthly financial contributions to the college. Rigor’s contributions will support the college’s building expansion and, in return, she and her family will be recognized on the expansion's donor recognition wall.

“I see what the college has done for thousands of students, and I am proud to tell people that I graduated from one of the best hospitality colleges,” she said. “I want my family to have our names on the new building to demonstrate that we support the college’s future.”

About the Donor Wall
Alumni and friends of the college can purchase nameplates on the donor recognition wall. The wall is a meaningful way for people to showcase their support of the college and be part of the college's legacy. Special rates are available for alumni. To learn more about the donor wall or other ways to give to the college, please visit the expansion website or contact Gina Johnson, director of major gifts, at  or 909-869-5349.

Stair Repair Afoot

Never a commencement shall pass without a few funny comments about the walk up the hill to The Collins College. The trek is a rite of passage, literally, for all Collins students.

This summer, work is underway to make the walk easier with a complete overhaul to the stairs on the north-facing hill between Kellogg West and the College of Environmental Design. Work is expected to be completed by the time students return in the fall.

Construction Limits Parking

Site work will begin soon on The Collins College’s building expansion project and will impact parking in Lot L starting Monday, July 14, 2014.

The west portion of Lot L will be closed off by construction fencing and will remain in place for the duration of construction (approximately until the end of fall quarter 2015).

During the summer, parking is allowed in other areas of Lot L for the college’s staff, faculty and visitors. Parking availability in the fall may change. Additional instructions on parking for September 2014 and beyond will be available in coming weeks.
